Monday, March 28, 2016 "Not a Religion"

What a blessing it is to know Jesus on a personal level.  My love for the Lord is about a relationship, not a religion.
My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. John 10:27

Easter Sunday, March 27, 2016 "Jesus is Alive!"

The tomb was empty. He has risen. Jesus is alive!
They found the stone rolled away from the tomb, but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. Luke 24:2-3

Saturday, March 26, 2016 "Forever More"

God is good all the time. His love for me is never ending, never changing but most importantly it is forever more.
So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. 1 John 4:16

Friday, March 25, 2016 "Why is it Good Friday When Jesus Died?"

The Lord died so that we could live. "Good" Friday is celebrated for the sacrifice of our sins on the cross. the Lord took on the sins of the world and for that we should be forever grateful for His goodness.
He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed. 1 Peter 2:24

Thursday, March 24, 2016 'The Last Supper"

The Last Supper

17 On the first day of the Festival of Unleavened Bread, the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Where do you want us to make preparations for you to eat the Passover?”
18 He replied, “Go into the city to a certain man and tell him, ‘The Teacher says: My appointed time is near. I am going to celebrate the Passover with my disciples at your house.’” 19 So the disciples did as Jesus had directed them and prepared the Passover.
20 When evening came, Jesus was reclining at the table with the Twelve. 21 And while they were eating, he said,“Truly I tell you, one of you will betray me.”
22 They were very sad and began to say to him one after the other, “Surely you don’t mean me, Lord?”
23 Jesus replied, “The one who has dipped his hand into the bowl with me will betray me. 24 The Son of Man will go just as it is written about him. But woe to that man who betrays the Son of Man! It would be better for him if he had not been born.”
25 Then Judas, the one who would betray him, said, “Surely you don’t mean me, Rabbi?”
Jesus answered, “You have said so.”
26 While they were eating, Jesus took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to his disciples, saying, “Take and eat; this is my body.”
27 Then he took a cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. 28 This is my blood of the[a] covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins. 29 I tell you, I will not drink from this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father’s kingdom.”
30 When they had sung a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.

Wednesday, March 23, 2016 "Slippery Slope"

For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ. Galatians 1:10
It is a dangerous thing to compromise your faith for someone.  It is a slippery slope when we begin to water down our faith in order to fit in. Instead, surround yourself with believers who will build up your spirit and share in your faith, not tear it down. Do not be deceived: “Bad company ruins good morals.” Wake up from your drunken stupor, as is right, and do not go on sinning. For some have no knowledge of God. I say this to your shame." 1 Corinthians 15:33-34

Tuesday, March 22, 2016 "Trust God"

Trust in God with all your heart. I don't care how something looks now, I know God has it in His control. I simply do not worry anymore because it is a wasted emotion. There is a reason the Lord tells us repeatedly in the Word not to worry or be anxious. Therefore I choose to trust and place my faith in Him. Trusting God transformed my life.
Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. Hebrews  11:1

Monday, March 21, 2016 'Eyes of Faith"

All it takes to see a miracle are eyes of faith.
He replied, "You of little faith, why are you so afraid?" Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm. Matthew 8:26

Sunday, March 20, 2016 'Palm Sunday"

"Blessed is he who comes in the name of the LORD. From the house of the LORD we bless you." Psalm 118:26

Saturday, March 19, 2016 'Life Without God"

Life without God has no meaning, value or purpose.

"Remember that you were at that time separated from Christ, alienated from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world." Ephesians 2:12

Sunday, March 20, 2016

Friday, March 18, 2016 'His Love Humbles Me"

I am humbled by God's faithfulness. When we draw near to the Son, He draws near to us. The LORD appeared to us in the past, saying: "I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness. Jeremiah 31:3

Thursday, March 17, 2016 "Are You on the Sidelines?"

Are you doing what you can to build the Kingdom of God? Are you participating in this Great Commission or are you on the sidelines?

2 Timothy 4:5
As for you, always be sober-minded, endure suffering, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.

Wednesday, March 16, 2016 "God Never Speaks to Me"

We all need to take time in our busy lives to be still and alone with God to hear His voice. Too often we cry God never speaks to us but could it be we are never quiet enough to listen?

He says, "Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth."
Psalm 46:10

Tuesday, March 15, 2016 "People Pleasing is a Trap"

We cannot control another person's thoughts, opinions, or feelings about us. Therefore we must never fall into the trap of people pleasing. Instead we must focus our hearts on the Lord and spend our energy on pleasing Him.
Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ. Galatians 1:10

Monday, March 14, 2016 "Lies of the World"

This season is about a Man, not a bunny.  How ironic that the two holiest of holidays that are God centered, man tries to distract it by making it about the kids. Scary scary thing!
As they entered the tomb, they saw a young man dressed in a white robe sitting on the right side, and they were alarmed.
“Don’t be alarmed,” he said. “You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He has risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid him.
But go, tell his disciples and Peter, ‘He is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him, just as he told you.’ ” (Mark 16:5-7)

Sunday, March 13, 2016 "Peace"

"But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere. And a harvest of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace." James 3:17-18

Saturday, March 12, 2016 "His Perfect Peace"

God is love.
"He will keep you in perfect peace if you will keep your mind steadfast on Him and trust". Isaiah 26:3

Friday, March 11, 2016 "Last Word"

It is best to guard your tongue for words can hurt and scar another. Do not speak in anger. Rather take it to the throne and allow the Lord to heal your pain and frustration. Use Godly wisdom for we do not need to get in the last word. What is most important is we glorify God in all situations.
Ephesians 4:26-27
“In your anger do not sin” : Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry,
and do not give the devil a foothold.

Thursday, March 10, 2016 "Give God the Glory, Not Yourself"

To God be the glory.
It saddens me to hear so many people take credit for their own destiny or path. Or worst yet they use the word luck. They brag about an accomplishment, giving no mention of the Lord. If only the world knew how much the Lord loves us and is manifesting His love in our lives.
"So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God". 1 Corinthians 10:31

Wednesday, March 9, 2016 "He is the Hope"

We can do all things in Him who strengthens us (Phil 4:13). We need to learn to look past ourselves and look to the One who gave us life. He is the hope for all things.
"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope". Romans 15:13

Tuesday, March 8, 2016 "Do Not Let Past Sins Paralyze You"

Never let your past sins paralyze your present. Too often we live in regret and remorse, which are wasted emotions for we cannot change our past. What we can do is learn from it, ask the Lord for forgiveness and receive His free gift of grace.
"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness". 1 John 1:9

Monday, March 7, 2016 "Let the Wise Increase in Learning"

What an honor and a privilege it is to earn a college education. Thank you Lord for this blessing.

"Let the wise hear and increase in learning, and the one who understands obtain guidance." Proverbs 1:5

Sunday, March 6, 2016 "Do it in Love"

In everything you, say and think this week...do it in love
And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. 1 Corinthians 13:13

Saturday, March 5, 2016 "Do it Without Grumbling"

There is something to be said for the grateful heart of God's children. We bear a rotten testimony for God when we walk around groveling and complaining. How are we glorifying God in our negative words? Let us instead shine light on His goodness, on His promises....and share how wonderful it is to live for and to serve a mighty God.
"Do all things without grumbling or questioning, that you may be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world, holding fast to the word of life, so that in the day of Christ I may be proud that I did not run in vain or labor in vain." Phil 2:14-16

Friday, March 4,2016 "The Lord is Worth it All"

"As you come to him, a living stone rejected by men but in the sight of God chosen and precious." 1 Peter 2:4

The Lord is worth every hurt, bruise, battle scar, rejected relationship, disloyal act, every betrayal.
He is worth it all.

Thursday, March 3, 2016 "Do You Want to Get Well?

There are those that choose to wallow in their circumstances and there are those that truly want a change. God can do anything in your life-but you have to be willing to let go to receive it.
When Jesus saw him lying there and learned that he had been in this condition for a long time, he asked him, “Do you want to get well?” John 5:6

Wednesday, March 2, 2016 "Simple Living"

Simple living is the key to a joyous existence. Trust God for each day and all of your needs.
"Give us each day our daily bread". Luke 11:3

Tuesday, March 1, 2016 "Eternal Life-Are You Ready?"

We are living out the prequel to the eternal.
So many people are so conscience of today and invest so  much
in the "now" that they disregard their future.
"And this is what he promised us--eternal life." 1 John 2:25

Monday, February 29, 2016 "Be on Guard!"

Guard your hearts against those that are not of God. People, places and things will be used by the enemy to come todestroy and distract. Be on guard!

Sunday, February 28, 2016 "An Orderly Home"

When our homes have established order all is in balance. A prioritized and organized home is pleasing to the Lord. It begins with the proper placement of the man of the household. For the Lord calls him to be the priest, provider and protector. When we do not have our homes in proper alignment, we will suffer many bumps and bruises on the road.

Saturday, February 27, 2016 "Make the Necessary Changes Before God Does"

The very things we hold on to the tightest and rely upon on for our security...will be the very things God takes away if they are coming before Him. Make the necessary changes before He does.

Friday, February 26, 2016 "Light or Darkness...One of the Other"

We cannot serve God and the enemy. We either choose the light or the darkness. Who do you serve?

Thursday, February 25, 2016 "There is Power in Our Words"

Speak life in your words. Groveling and complaining about life situations and relationships will bring death and destruction. Speak love and Godly words into all areas of your life, and you will bear much fruit.

Wednesday, February 24, 2016 "Tithing is the Lifeline"

Tithing is the lifeline to financial freedom. People tell me they cannot afford to tithe...what do I say? You cannot afford not to. Your choice!

Tuesday, February 23, 2016 "The Closed Door"

If the door is closed, it was not your door!

Monday, February 22, 2016 "His Will or Mine?"

Life is full of choices. God has given us the free will to do what we choose. But when we choose to go outside His will, we cannot be shocked by the results.

Sunday, February 21, 2016 "Sunday"

What is your Sunday agenda?

Saturday, February 20, 2016 "Our Faith"

Our faith in God for what Jesus has done for us should be expressed by the gratefulness of our hearts. May that gratitude show through the love that we have for others.

Friday, February 19, 2016 "The Key"

Prayer is the key to Heaven but
faith unlocks the door.

Thursday, February 18, 2016 "Call Upon God"

Nothing is impossible with God. Call upon Him in all things and He will draw near to you and work it all out.

Wednesday, February 17, 2016 "Who Do You Choose?"

I choose God.

Tuesday, February 16, 2016 "God Will Sustain You"

God will sustain you if He calls you to it. Don't be afraid to walk through that door.

Monday, February 15, 2016 "Pray in Everything"

Decisions birthed out of prayer will never leave you astray.

Sunday, February 14, 2016 "Love"

Love is God's footprint on our hearts.

Saturday, February 13, 2016 "Mega Church or Small Church?"

The deeper relationship I have with God, the deeper church I need to be in. I used to attend the mega church with packed balconies and bright lights. Big band with a pew full of preachers. But there was no substance. For me I need a church that reflects where I am in my relationship with God. People often times will judge small churches as dead when the truth is, the Holy Spirit is the focus not the people. It is there I feel His presence most.

Friday, February 12, 2016 "Keep or Let Go?"

It is okay to forgive someone without choosing to have them in your life. The best thing we can do for our own hearts is to let go and genuinely forgive. It is up to us if we want to continue a relationship with that person. Blood or water relationships still deserve to be real and holy.

Thursday, February 11, 2016 "Quality Over Quantity"

I choose to surround myself with a small intimate circle of Christian brothers and sisters than a large crowd of strangers.

Wednesday, February 10, 2016 "Even in the Silence He is With You"

God is in control. It may seem as though He is silent right on, but He is still on the throne doing mighty things for you. Simply trust..even in the silence!

Tuesday, February 9, 2016 "God is Still King"

Politics is getting a lot of political exposure this election year. I say it doesn't matter who becomes president for God is still King.

Monday, February 8, 2016 "I Know it For You Because I know It For Me"

I try to give loving and Godly advice whenever I can. And may I preface, I know it you because I know it for me. I never talk out of line or with authority over something I know nothing about. But if you want to talk about sin, mistakes, forgiveness and all that goes with the power of God, than I am your girl!

Sunday, February 7, 2016 "Who is Priority in Your Life?"

Today is the Super Bowl and you would think it was a national holiday. Sports obsession is one of the most common forms of idolatry. Be mindful of what and who you prioritize in your life!

Saturday, February 6, 2016 "Is it God, The Enemy or Me?"

We need to stop blaming God and/or the enemy for all of our messes. Perhaps we need to look within ourselves first and take some accountability. It does us no good to justify everything in our lives...we will never grow in our faith when we do that.

Friday, February 5, 2016 "Greatest Trick"

The greatest trick the enemy tries to pull over us is that he doesn't exist.
