Tuesday, June 30, 2015 "Each New Day"

Wow the new year is half way over.  Doesn't time seem to be flying by?  How are you spending your time?  Is it quality filled or are you just going through the motions?  Is each day a gift or do find yourself complaining more than not? The Bible teaches us to rejoice in each new day for they are a gift from God. We are to give each new day up to Him and ask that He bless it, anoint it and guide us through each day.  I dedicate each day to the Lord and I ask Him to grant me enormous favor with Him and with man. I pray for His perfect timing on my day and He truly answers these prayers each and every new day.  Don't go through life missing the gift.  Stop regretting, stop feeling guilty, let the past go, stop dwelling on what you don't have and think lovely on all the things you do have. It is a change of the heart and of the mind. Once you do your part, the Lord will do the rest. Enjoy this day in Him.

Giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Ephesians 5:20

Monday, June 29, 2015 "Be Still"

Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him; Psalm 37:7

Be still.  When we are facing a situation that causes us anxiety because we do not what to do or how to handle it, be still.  Stop and pray and offer it up to the Lord and ask for His guidance and wisdom.  Then wait for His instruction. It is what I try to do when I am anxious or worried. I am really working on not worrying so much because it shows lack of faith. And I trust my God with my life, He is my everything so if me worrying displeases Him in anyway, then I must stop. I am learning not to be reactive but instead call upon the name of Jesus. I rebuke anything that is not of Him from my home, from my life and I ask that His will be shown to me. He is my Father and I look up to Him for all my needs. I know He will never leave me, nor forsake me so I can be still knowing He is God. (Psalm 46:10) Amen!

Sunday, June 28, 2015 "God Will Not be Mocked"

We are saved by grace alone.  We are forgiven when we repent our sins to the Lord.  These truths however do not mean we get to freely live our lives in sin knowing we are "getting away with it".  In other words, all we have to do is beg for forgiveness the day after and all is well.  That is making a mockery of our one true God and His doctrine. Do not take advantage of our Father in heaven for you will not live a victorious life. This will make you a carnal Christian and that does not bring glory and honor to the Lord. Obedience is what brings us the blessing. Keep in mind that we will be judged by Christ for what we have done here on earth for the Kingdom of God which means we may lose our rewards in heaven. Is it worth it?

"Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows". Galatians 6:7

Saturday, June 27, 2015 "With the Measure You Use"

Do unto others as you would have done to you.  Watch your words when speaking of others.  I believe when we judge others, criticize others and/or discourage others, those very words will come back on to us.  I believe we are to praise, uplift and encourage others at all times.  Even when we curse someone under our breath alone, God hears and He is not pleased.  Do not wish ill will on another. But instead speak life onto your spouse, home, marriage, children, boss, friends and foes. Be kindhearted. Always.

For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. Matthew 7:2

Friday, June 26, 2015 "Keeping Score"

Try not to keep score.  The Bible teaches us to help others without expecting anything in return.  We are not to do things in trade or only when the person can not repay you.  I know some individuals who are very selective as to who they help.  Whereas others will help a stranger if in need. We are to love like God and give with a cheerful heart, whether it is our time, our money or our resources. Be a blessing to someone today. It will do your heart good.

"In all things I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’”
Acts 20:35

Thursday, June 25, 2015 "Toxicity in my Life"

It is very important to me to stay in the will of the Lord.  I know when my heart is not right or when I am thinking unholy thoughts.  I  try to examine myself and my intentions as often as I need to in order to remove what is not of God from my life.  Sometimes that may include people.  If I find certain individuals in my circle are causing a distraction and may potentially cause me to slip or sin, they must be removed. Anyone that has a negative impact on my walk or is bringing toxicity into my life, cannot remain. The reason I am so aware and so sensitive is because no one comes before the Lord. I love God more that anyone or anything, and I cannot allow them to cause my foot to slip. It is easier to be taken down than to pick somebody up.

"Do not be deceived: “Bad company ruins good morals."
1 Corinthians 15:33

Wednesday, June 24, 2015 "Your Choice"

We are all called to the Lord to do His work.  It is not the desire of the Lord to see any of His children perish. But it is a matter of who answers that call.  No one is excluded unless you choose to be.

"For many are invited, but few are chosen." Matthew 22:14

Tuesday, June 23, 2015 "Selfless or Selfish..Which Are You?"

A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed. Proverbs 11:25

The Lord blesses us when we bless others.  God is about love, not self.  So many get caught up in being self sufficient, self reliant, selfish and self centered.  But God is about being selfless and giving towards His children. The enemy's tools are the opposite of God's therefore be wise and use caution. When is the last time you blessed someone?  When is the last time you called someone just to check on them and not need something for yourself?  When did you do something for someone who was in no position to return the favor?  Have you ever helped a stranger in their time of need?  I say it all the time we can never out give God for He is generous to those who are generous to others. Don't miss a wonderful opportunity of being used by God to be someone's angel today...the vessel to which He uses. Be selfless today.

Monday, June 22, 2015 "Strife Among Brothers"

a·bom·i·na·tion
əˌbäməˈnāSH(ə)n/
noun
  1. a thing that causes disgust or hatred."this bill is an abomination to all mankind" a feeling of hatred.

  1. If you want to how the Lord feels about something, simply go to the Word. Proverbs 6:16-19 tells us six things He hates and seven that are an abomination.... "And one who spreads strife among brothers."

Sunday, June 21, "Gossip is the Devil's Radio"

"Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God." Matthew 5:9

Gossip is the devil's radio.  Let nothing unholy come from your lips.  If someone begins to talk to you about another person, put your hand up and say, "STOP".  We are to speak life and holy things. Anything we speak will be measured and we will reap what we sow therefore stay out of trouble, do not get involved and remove yourself from toxic people/situations. Whether it is blood or a friend/neighbor/co-worker, if the talk is not of God and not breathing life, remove yourself. The Lord blesses the peacemakers and brings wrath on those that cause division. (Proverbs 6:19

Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. Ephesians 4:29

Saturday, June 20, 2015 "Our Haven..Our Home..Ten Years"

..."But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD." Joshua 24:15

As my husband and I reflect back on this day ten years ago, we stand in awe.  He blessed us with our dream house that we have come to love so much. We have been blessed with amazing neighbors that we call friends. Our home is our fortress, it is our haven.  We even host a small home church here.  We have watched people's spirits renew here. We have witnessed people leaving differently than when they came. We are thankful to our Father in Heaven for providing a way when sometimes there seemed to be no way. And that is why we call this God's house and we live our lives giving glory and honor to Him. We dedicate our lives to serving Him and we thank Him for blessing us. This is not just a house to us, this is our home.

Friday, June 19, 2015 "His Love Will Never Fail You"

Praise the Lord! He is good.
God’s love never fails. Psalm 136:1

We are to expect trials in our life for no one is exempt. We will face challenges, decisions, hardships. In fact the enemy will use the closest people to you to tempt and disrupt your life. I have learned not to give myself totally over to anyone. The Bible tells us Jesus was the same way when He walked this earth. I keep my circle extremely tight and small. The best thing we can do as children of God is to spend as much time with Him as possible. Prayer, reading the Word, through music. Just praise His holy name and stay on the path He has chosen. So when trials come, we know He is allowing them for our better good and we can better deal and face them. He wants nothing but the best for you so love Him, trust Him and rely on Him. His love will never fail you.

Thursday, June 18, 2015 "I Do Not Fit In"

Lord, I need you.  All your children need you.  This world is not of you nor do I fit in anywhere.  I am identified as a child of the most living high and this world identifies with self, sin and the flesh, the opposite of Who you are. Protect me from the evil so that evil will not grieve me. Thank you for hearing my prayer. Thank you for answering my prayer.
Psalm 71: A Prayer for God's Protection

Wednesday, June 17, 2015 "Blameless"

For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding. He holds success in store for the upright,he is a shield to those whose walk is blameless. Proverbs 2:6-7

It is hard to be persecuted and/or accused of something that is not true and hold your tongue and remain in His grace. I am at a place where my flesh wants to take over but my Spirit is saying no. I am praying for mercy and grace during this difficult time. But I know the Lord is with me for "blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God." (Matthew 5:9)

Tuesday, June 16, 2015 "Embracing Change"

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9

It is funny that I used to dread change. Never liked it. And now with the Lord in my life completely "running" it, I look forward to it. Every gift is from above (James 1:17)and every thing that happens in the life of my husband and me is from God therefore I embrace it all. Anything He prepares for us will be welcomed and rejoiced. It is the only way to be truly happy and at peace.
Got peace?

Monday, June 15, 2015 "Simple Biblical Principles"

We must train our minds to think things lovely and pure. (Phil. 4:8)  We must stay focused in order to walk the narrow path of righteousness. (Matthew 7:13) Hold on to God and desire His will for our life, not our own desires of the flesh. (Psalm 37:4)These simple biblical principles will assure all of us a  life of peace, purpose and pure joy. Let go of the reins and allow the Lord to take over. He will lead, guide, protect, and love you every step of the way.
“When a man’s ways please the LORD, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.” Proverbs 16:7

Sunday, June 14, 2015 "Devil's Net"

“Do not become self-sufficient. Self-sufficiency is Satan’s net, wherein he catches men, like poor silly fish, and does destroy them. Be not self-sufficient. Think yourselves nothing, for you are nothing, and live by God’s help. The way to grow strong in Christ is to become weak in yourself. God pours no power into man’s heart till man’s power is all poured out. Live, then, daily, a life of dependence on the grace of God. Do not set yourself up as if you were an independent gentleman…but live always trusting in God. You have as much need to trust him now as ever you have” -Charles Spurgeon

Friday, June 12, 2015 "God is Faithful"

God keeps His promises. If He ordains it, He will bring it to pass. Just you wait.
Know therefore that the LORD your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commandments. Deuteronomy 7:9

Thursday, June 11, 2015 "Psalm 27:1"

The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear?
Psalm 27:1

Wednesday, June 10, 2015 "My Breakthrough"

Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken. Psalm 55:22

Be anxious for nothing. Give to Him your worriment and your fears. He will calm your spirit and give you rest. He is the Prince of Peace. Let us worship Him. Let us learn to be more like Him. I used to worry terribly until I could no longer live with it. I surrendered it to Jesus and He took it from me. Now I just focus on Him instead of my cares and I whisper, "I trust you Lord". You can experience the same break through I did, simply give it to Him.

Tuesday, June 9, 2015 "Worship not Consume"

We must focus on our relationship with God.  Too often we are running from church to ministry work to Bible study groups that we fail to spend any time alone with God. We must learn to be worshipers of God, not consumers. God wants us to come to Him every day for all things. Let us make Him a part of our lives every minute of every hour. Let us slow down and live in His presence. We need to stop being too busy for Christ. Amen? Amen!

"What we have seen and heard we proclaim to you also, so that you too may have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father, and with His Son Jesus Christ." 1 John 1:3

Monday, June 8, 2015 "Being Poor to God but Rich to Thyself"

We are blessed by God so that we can in turn be a blessing to someone else.  When much is given, much is required. Do not be rich and generous with yourself and poor to God, the church and others. The saying we are to "pay it forward" is kind of an oxymoron phrase. When we bless others, we do not expect it back in return nor, in most cases,  is the person in a position to do so. We are called to help the orphans, the poor, the homeless, the widows...all of which are unable to "pay it forward" themselves. Therefore let us give with a cheerful heart without any hesitation or reservation. Amen? Amen!

From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked. Luke 12:48

Sunday, June 7, 2015 "Fear or Jesus...Choose!"

Fear is not of God. From our message today in church we learned to place our faith and trust in Jesus and He alone. Be not afraid, God is with you every day of your life. There is nothing that will happen to you that He does NOT allow. Stop being anxious. Never make a decision for your life out of fear. All fear really is... "false evidence appearing real." It is a liar, it is a destroyer, it is a killer. Rebuke it and turn away from it. God has you in the palm of His hand. Do not be afraid little ones, just keep trusting.

"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9

Saturday, June 6, 2015 "Life with God"

For “‘In him we live and move and have our being’; as even some of your own poets have said, “‘For we are indeed his offspring.’ Acts 17:28

Place all your faith and trust in the Lord. (Proverbs 3:5) He is with you every day of your life. We will all face trials and challenges for no one is exempt. But when you have someone by your side guiding you, shielding and protecting you, it lessens the burden. My Lord is my life line. I cannot even imagine life without Him. I pray for those that walk this life alone for they do not know how wonderful their life can be with Him leading it. Do you know God?

Friday, June 5, 2015 "He is my One Constant"

I ask the Lord for favor with Him and with man today.  Let His light shine upon me wherever I go. May His grace always be sufficient for me. I thank you Lord for being the one constant in my life.

"Know therefore that the Lord your God is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love him and keep his commandments, to a thousand generations."  Deuteronomy 7:9

Thursday, June 4, 2015 "Dominion Surges"

You have given him dominion over the works of your hands; you have put all things under his feet. Psalm 8:6

Today I declare dominion surges over my life, my business, my home and even my marriage. I give my life to the Lord and all things are laid at His feet. I shall not want, I shall not worry but instead live in fullness of joy and peace. Amen!

Wednesday, June 3, 2015 'Let Go"

For those that dwell on the past and have a hard time
lettings things go, this a Word for you.
Live in the present presence of God always.
"Forget the former things, do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing. " Isaiah 43:18-19

Tuesday, June 2, 2015 "Happy Anniversary ODPC"

On June 2, 2013 a new house of God was birthed. It was not in a
big fancy cathedral. It did not have 500 followers. In fact it was
planted in the home of my husband and I. We wanted a place for
believers to come to where they could feel safe and be a part of
something deeper. We did not pray on it for years nor did we seek
the counsel of anyone other than the Lord. In fact He laid on my
heart to place all of our confidence in Him and none in man. To
accept the humble beginnings on our way to something greater. We
celebrate this house of God for He dwells here. It is our honor to
worship and praise Him and we ask for His continued guidance as
we embark on this new year. We thank all of those that helped us
from the beginning, supported us throughout and we pray for those
that mocked us and questioned our authority, hearts and covering.
We are covered by the power and blood of our living God and we
are honored to be led by such a man of God as Pastor Christian. A
man who has a true heart for His Savior and His children. Thank
you Lord for calling me into this amazing journey. We exalt your
name on high and we celebrate You today.
Psalm 90:1

"Lord, you have been our dwelling place throughout all generations."

Monday, June 1, 2015 "Not to This World"

Place all your faith and trust in the Lord and not to this world. The enemy comes to lie, cheat, steal and destroy the family and marriage. He promotes perversion, sin, greed and hate. Let us keep our minds on holy things. As the Bible tells us in Romans 12:2, "And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God."

Sunday, May 31, 2015 "This Day"

This is the day the Lord has been. I will be thankful for it. I will cherish this day. I will give all glory to the Lord today.
 Today is a gift.

For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. John 3:17

Saturday, May 30, 2015 "Child of God"

The Lord is with you always. There is no need to be afraid. He watches over your every step. You are never alone. He loves you. You are one of His own.

"So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith." Galatians 3:26

Friday, May 29, 2015 "Sound Mind"

For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.
2 Timothy 1:7

Established order brings balance into your life. It is key to be organized, rested, consistent and aware. These all are a part of making a sound judgement or decision. We mustn't make fly by night decisions. We are to seek the Lord and wait on Him. I find he is working on my patience and slowing me down so that I can learn how to wait on Him before doing something. But in order to be disciplined in waiting, we must establish sound order to our life. No chaos, no conflict. Peace and calmness. A sound mind will produce sound thinking.

Thursday, May 28, 2015 "Grief"

He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.
Psalm 147:3

No one can say how long grief should last. For some it passes, for others it lingers and it becomes very difficult to let go and move forward. Sometimes there are no words to console a hurting soul other than to say, "I understand and just keep leaning on Jesus."

Wednesday, May 27, 2015 "Stay..."

Stay strong. Stay faithful. Stay true to His Word. Stay consistent.

But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. Matthew 6:33
