Tuesday, September 30, 2014 "Do Not Let"

The Lord has done it this very day;
let us rejoice today and be glad. Psalm 118:24

Do not let your past haunt your future. Do not let your mind wander to tomorrow that you miss your today. Let us simply embrace our present. For today is a true gift from God.

Monday, September 29, 2014 "He Is..."

In my darkest days, He is my light. When I am most despaired, He is my hope. When I feel uneasy, He is my Rock. When I feel scared, He is my fortress. When my heart is hurting, He is my love. When I want to cry, He is my joy. Jesus is... my everything.

What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them garbage, that I may gain Christ. Philippians 3:8

Sunday, September 28, 2014 "Trust in Him"

“Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and will not be afraid; for the Lord God is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation.” Isaiah 12:2

Trust in the Lord with all your heart no matter what you are facing. He is total control. It may not look like it but He is. Rest in Him.

Saturday, September 27, 2014 "Who is Your GPS?"

I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you. Psalm 32:8

I do not need a GPS system to guide me, nor to give me direction. And I certainly don't need it for protection against taking the wrong turn. God is my GPS.

Friday, September 26, 2014 "My Hope"

All my hope is in you Lord.
But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
Matthew 6:33

Thursday, September 25, 2014 "He is the Only Way"

Let your eyes look directly forward, and your gaze be straight before you. Proverbs 4:25

Keep your eyes on God. Every single minute of every single day. He is the only way to true happiness and genuine peace.

Wednesday, September 24, 2014 "Look to God's Word"

For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ. Galatians 1:10

Whatever it is you are going through, look to God's Word. It is true. It is life saving. It has every Word of knowledge you will ever need for every emotion, circumstance, or situation. We must stop making excuses for our thinking, for other people's advice, for doing things a little different than God's plan. We must stop being afraid to surrender. We must stop justifying our sin. Align your life up to His standard, not this world's, and you will live a life of freedom and joy. Guaranteed by God.

Tuesday, September 23, 2014 "Clarity from God"

"that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him. I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints".
Ephesians 1:17-18

Clarity from God is not something I necessarily pray for because I walk in trust each day. But it is something He will show me out of the blue in regards to an ongoing situation. And it usually is when I am just alone praying and all of a sudden He will show me. I equate it to finding that last missing piece to the puzzle. It does not happen often but when it does it is such an amazing spiritual experience. It really does give you a sense of peace when He gives you this Spirit knowledge and wisdom. My God is an awesome God.

Monday, September 22, 2014 "Follow God, Not Man"

But just as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel, so we speak, not to please man, but to please God who tests our hearts. 1 Thessalonians 2:4

Follow God not man. I will not allow another weak willed person to discourage me. The fear of man lays a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is safe. Proverbs 29:25 I am in the will of God and I will continue to place all my faith and trust in Him. I refuse to give up simply because it has not been easy. I am honored to be used by my Lord for His purpose. He is worth it all. God is amazing and I live to glorify and honor Him.

Sunday, September 21, 2014 "God First"

God first.
In everything you do, put God first, and he will direct you and crown your efforts with success. Proverbs 3:6

Saturday, September 20, 2014 "Are You Ashamed of the Gospel?"

"For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes." Romans 1:16

They say what we think of and what we talk about most is an accurate reflection of our heart. Do you think that statement is true? I sometimes look at other people's Facebook walls who say they believe in Jesus yet never ever post anything of Him. They will tag their pictures, boast about their latest adventure or bought toy. Heck they even keep us posted as to their latest whereabouts but never is God mentioned, or a scripture, an encouraging post to another. Our love for God should not be kept in the dark nor held as as secret. We are to be bold in our faith and not be ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ! "But whoever disowns me before others, I will disown before my Father in heaven". Matthew 10:33

Friday, September 19, 2014 "God is on Your Side"

"Stop acting like everything is more than you. You're more than anything that comes against you with God on your side".-
Joyce Meyer

It is very important that we as children of the Most High are able to truly grasp how much our Father in Heaven loves us. (Ephesians 3:18). We must know that we are the head not the tail; we are the victor never the victim. Too many believers speak death over their own lives by their words and attitudes. There is nothing impossible for God therefore there cannot be any circumstance bigger than our God. When we look at any trial through the natural eye we can become overwhelmed, stressed and for some depressed and that is exactly how the enemy wants you to react. What good is a soldier in battle if they are down and listless? What good is that to anyone? The enemy knows you are a soldier for God in this spiritual battle so he comes to destroy, lie, distract and isolate. Rebuke it, look to God and know, You dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world". 1 John 4:4

Thursday, September 18, 2014 "Shine Your Light"

In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven. Matthew 5:16

God is love. Let us show His love in us through us. We may be the only light a lost soul may ever meet. Let us look outside ourselves and share the gospel with others. This is not a dress rehearsal...this is the live show and we only have so much time. Do not squander your time working for the Kingdom. "In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents." Luke 15:10

Wednesday, September 17, 2014 "Why So Many Churches?"

Pay careful attention to yourselves and to all the flock, in which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to care for the church of God, which he obtained with his own blood. Acts 20:28

Let us love one another. Let us encourage one another. The Christian circle is actually very small therefore we must uplift one another not challenge and compete. Why is there competition in today's churches? Why is there a building of worship on each street corner? Why so many biblical worldviews when there is only One True Savior and Lord and His name is Jesus Christ. First, nowhere in Scripture is there a mandate for denominational-ism; to the contrary the mandate is for union and connectivity. Second, history tells us that denominational-ism is the result of, or caused by, conflict and confrontation which leads to division and separation. Jesus told us that a house divided against itself cannot stand. This general principle can and should be applied to the church. Why all the debating and disagreeing when the Word of God, the Holy Bible, has been proven to be true? We need to stop bickering and start praying for our churches.

Tuesday, September 16, 2014 "Prayer Is..."

“And when you pray, do not heap up empty phrases as the Gentiles do, for they think that they will be heard for their many words. Matthew 6:7
Prayer is key to our relationship with our Father in Heaven. I cannot imagine a day that would go by that I did not talk with God. Prayer is how we interact and converse with Him. I don't view it as something you only do at a meal or at night. I don't believe in repetitious prayer or memorized prayers. They are not a ritual nor are they required to be lengthy. I believe in sitting in a quiet place alone with Him. It does not always have to be when I need something. I often praise him throughout the day and most times I find myself simply telling Him that I love Him, very much like any other relationship. He means everything to me therefore I want to be close to Him. Conversation=prayer. Prayer is so simple. Prayer is our lifeline.
Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving. Colossians 4:2

Monday, September 15, 2014 "Don't Give Up!"

And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. Galatians 6:9

God is faithful to His children. His Word is true. You just hold on and keep believing. Your blessing is coming. Don't give up!

Sunday, September 14, 2014 "His Love for Us"

Jesus replied: "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. Matthew 22:37

Love the Lord with all your might, with all your strength. We need to obey this Word of God because His love is what gives us the strength to get through our most difficult times. When I think of the lost trying to do "life" on their own my heart saddens because I cannot even fathom going it alone. The Lord is the center of my life, He is my everything. I allow Him to have full authority over my life and I know He takes full responsibility for my needs. My obedience moves His hand. Therefore I place all my focus on Him, His love for me and my love for Him. In my darkest days I know I am not alone and whatever is happening is of His will therefore I try to simply trust. Rest your mind. You will never try to figure it out. All the Lord wants is for you to trust and rest in Him too. He will take care of it all.

Saturday, September 13, 2014 "Without Faith"

And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him. Hebrews 11:6

Friday, September 12, 2014 "Humble Beginnings"

Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin, to see the plumb line in Zerubbabel’s hand. Zechariah 4:10

Trust the Lord right now as you face this difficult situation. When He calls His children, He will sustain them. You need not figure it out. Check your ego at the door and let Him lead. This is not the time nor the place for pride. He loves you and is pleased. Humble yourself and continue to do His work. Keep your eyes solely on Him for this is between you and Him, not man. Shut the world out and be still in Him.

Thursday, September 11, 2014 'A Day We Shall Never Forget"

Turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it. Psalm 34:14

A day we shall never forget. What happened thirteen years ago was tragic and unnecessary. The terrorists claimed they did it for their god and religion. The one and only true God, Jesus Christ, is the Prince of Peace, not war and death. (Isaiah 9:6) We are called to be peacemakers not fighters. I lift up all the innocent lives that were lost over this evil act. May their families draw their strength from their Lord God on this difficult day.

Wednesday, September 10, 2014 "Speak Life and Victory"

So shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it. Isaiah 55:11

Let's be a blessing today, not a burden. Let us look to all we have and not what we don't have. We are highly favored and children of the Most High. Everyday is a day to rejoice. Thanks be to God. Let's live our lives glorifying Him. Speak life and victory!

Tuesday, September 9, 2014 "The Light"

"Bread gained by deceit is sweet to a man, but afterward his mouth will be full of gravel". Proverbs 20:17

We must be upfront and honest at all times. Not just with words and actions but our minds. Sometimes we think we can "play the game" for the world's view but be another way in the dark. God knows all man's hearts therefore we are hiding from no one. All man's sin will be exposed in the light so we are not deceiving anyone but ourselves. Sin grows in the dark. Deceitful man hates the light. Be mindful. Stay in the light.

"But everything exposed by the light becomes visible--and everything that is illuminated becomes a light". Ephesians 5:13

Monday, September 8, 2014 "The Consistent Christian"

Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain. 2 Corinthians 15:58

Being a consistent Christian is vital to our walk. So often I hear others cry out of frustration because of their "unsatisfied" lives. The truth is when we place our full lives in the hands of the Lord we will be satisfied. When we place our faith and trust in Him and obey His Word and submit our lives to His, we will be filled with joy. We will get out what we put in when it comes to our life with Christ. We need to stop being part time believers. Inconsistent church attendance and inconsistent givers of tithes are disobedient acts. The scriptures use the words, "without wavering" and " not neglecting". We must read the Word of God daily, we must pray daily, we must take time to be alone with Him each and everyday. These are not optional things, these are aligned with the Word. I promise you if you are feeling lackluster and are being honest with yourself that the above describes you, you need to repent of this behavior and change your ways. He wants all of you, not some of you.

"Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near." (Hebrews 10:23-25)

Sunday, September 7, 2014 "He Completes Me"

I know I am not perfect nor
will I ever be but His love
                                  for me makes me complete.

1 john 4:7 Beloved, let us love one another, because love is from God, whoever loves has been born of God, and he knows.

Saturday, September 6, 2014 "Wisdom"

For the LORD gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding. Proverbs 2:6

God's wisdom is one of the greatest treasures. He teaches me so much and I know it would take ten life times to grasp it all. I ask for the understanding of His knowledge and to discern His truth and ways. He is an amazing Father.

Friday, September 5, 2014 "Does Everyone Go to Heaven?"

When we hear of someone passing away, why do we automatically assume they are going to heaven? The Bible says,

“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’ “Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock.(Matthew 7:21-27)

We must all repent, confess and believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and the Lord and Savior of our life. (John 3:16, Romans 10:9)

Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.”  (John 3:3)

Thursday, September 4, 2014 "Power of the Tongue"

Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits. Proverbs 18:21

Let us use our words to encourage and uplift one another, not discourage and tear down. Let us speak in love and truth. Let us speak life into our lives not doom and gloom. Do not speak of fears but only of faith and trust in God. You will be amazed at how your life will change if you simply change your words. There is power in what we speak.

Wednesday, September 3, 2014 "Be Still"

Sometimes we need to just be still. As we read the Word it tells us to "be still and know that I am God" (Psalm 46:10). We must learn to trust in Him each and every day with each and every detail of our life. When we do that, we remain in His peace and it creates established order throughout every area of our life. From our home, to our workplace, to our relationships and friendships, etc. He has everything under His control and does not need us to do His work. Our spiritual guide within us, The Holy Spirit, will speak and lead us according to His will in His timing. Enjoy the rest. Rest in His promise. Jeremiah 29:11 tells us He has plans to " prosper you and not to harm you" so let's live on that truth and be simply ... still.

Tuesday, September 2, 2014 "One Day at a Time"

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble. Matthew 6:34

It sounds so simple and trite yet the best advice I can ever offer myself or anyone else is to take things one day at a time. I truly can get overwhelmed and very worried when I look ahead at the big scheme of things. Life is daunting and with all its responsibilities therefore I choose to live in the present. I know my God has my future and I know He has everything under His control so my worrying will get me nowhere. So I live my life according to His promises to me and it keeps me in His perfect peace. If you tend to worry like me, take this scripture and meditate on it day and night and allow the power of the Holy Spirit to touch you in this area and heal you.

Monday, September 1, 2014 "I Believe"

Yes Lord I believe.

For we walk by faith, not by sight. 2 Corinthians 5:7
