Wednesday, September 17, 2014 "Why So Many Churches?"

Pay careful attention to yourselves and to all the flock, in which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to care for the church of God, which he obtained with his own blood. Acts 20:28

Let us love one another. Let us encourage one another. The Christian circle is actually very small therefore we must uplift one another not challenge and compete. Why is there competition in today's churches? Why is there a building of worship on each street corner? Why so many biblical worldviews when there is only One True Savior and Lord and His name is Jesus Christ. First, nowhere in Scripture is there a mandate for denominational-ism; to the contrary the mandate is for union and connectivity. Second, history tells us that denominational-ism is the result of, or caused by, conflict and confrontation which leads to division and separation. Jesus told us that a house divided against itself cannot stand. This general principle can and should be applied to the church. Why all the debating and disagreeing when the Word of God, the Holy Bible, has been proven to be true? We need to stop bickering and start praying for our churches.
