Friday, June 6, 2014 "Seek Quiet Time with the Lord"

But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you. Matthew 6:6

Sometimes we need to step back from situations that are not necessarily good for our Christian walk. There are times when we need to be still and alone with the Lord. Very often Jesus would seek alone time with His Father and I think we need to do that more too. When I am feeling agitated or irritable I know it is time to seek "quiet time". I try very hard to keep my heart free from anger but I admit I am sensitive and I often am hurt by others. I tend to want to please others, help find solutions for others when they are in need and be kind and it bothers me when others are cold and insensitive. When they ignore uncomfortable situations rather than talk them through. So today I seek my alone time with God. Just me. Just Him. And I ask that He heal us and renew our minds and spirits. And may this be the day we seek His will.
