The ways of the world are about obtaining instant gratification, the mentality of "I don't care how I win as long as I win", keeping up with the Jones' by buying things one cannot afford etc....I remember years ago being involved in something with someone that was not of God and I later repented and got out of the situation and took my punishment from God. I would be dishonest if I did not divulge that I was mad at God for punishing me yet not the other person. I saw my whole life change and theirs appeared as it always was, with no consequence. Well as I grew in my faith and matured in spirit I learned that no one gets away with being unholy or unjust. And sure enough this person's demise came four years after mine. I know it is hard in this world to watch cheaters, liars and backstabbers get ahead while you wait your turn in line of the righteous. But the bible tells us that the righteous will not fall and we are able to walk with our heads held high with integrity. We have the peace of the Lord upon us for obeying His law. Never be tempted to take a short cut in life or jump the line because someone else did. Never cross over the line of right and wrong to keep up with your peers, neighbors and/or co workers. The only One you and I need to please is God Almighty. Putting our faith and trust in Him is the way to true success. Tithing is the formula for true financial freedom and obeying the Lord and loving thy neighbor as thyself is the true way to a healthy relationship with another. We are called to be the salt and the light of this earth therefore we will not be what the world is. Stay true to your self and your God and know that what he ordains in your life He will sustain in your life and be not afraid of anyone or anything. Measure yourself up to God's standard and you will finish first every time. And that is a true statement.
