Waiting upon the Lord is one of the strongest actions of our Christianity. Did you know that? There are many scriptures and references to waiting in the bible. To the secular world it may look as though we are lazy and without ambition in areas. But the bible says to plant a seed and to wait is to believe. Waiting upon the Lord to reveal His plan or to answer a question or to guide you through an unknown path takes absolute strength and resolve. So often people get impatient or they begin to assume things in the waiting period. They feel God has forgotten them or they mistake the waiting period as God not answering and they move on and get in their own way. I believe that when we truly and honestly obey God and plant a genuine seed of faith, that we should expect and know an answer will come. Now it may not be in the way we expect but we should wholeheartedly and spiritually expect God to move for us in the area(s) we are asking. And the Lord provides every one of our needs in the process. So stay steadfast in God's promise. For He will grant you His favor and power and desires for your life. I remember I would pray every morning in the pool this past summer for God to help me with an particular area I was worried about. In less than two months time, he revealed to me His plan and it fulfilled all my needs and it was the answer to my prayers. Now understand, it was not in the way I ever imagined He would answer but nonetheless He took care of the situation exactly the way He saw fit. When it was becoming apparent that this may be God's answer, I sought His counsel and prayed and received confirmation that it was indeed of God and I accepted it and the entire situation was resolved. I simply went to Him and asked Him for help and He came to my aid in His time and His way. So wait upon the Lord today for whatever it is you need and it shall be done.
Isaiah 30:18
