Why do so many people have a problem with forgiveness? It is the base of Christianity and what the Lord has done for all of us. He wants us to forgive those that have trespassed against us. I truly do not hold any unforgiveness in my heart. I am not happy with everything that has been done to me or said about me nor the way some closest to me have judged me but I do not hold anger in my heart. I will say that for me I choose to be around people that encourage me. People that believe in the Lord as I do. People that are happy for me, not jealous or critical. I choose to surround myself with positive affirmations, not doubters or judgemental people. Why? Because for me, it is not healthy for my walk. It is not healthy for me as I walk through very unfamiliar territory. I am utterly dependent on God and for anyone who cannot grasp that or has not lived that, cannot truly understand my journey and I cannot be around those with questions or secular thoughts. Make sense? So I believe it is okay to separate yourself from individuals that you feel have hurt you but there is no tolerance for discord or strife in God's eyes. He is not pleased when we think or feel or act that way. So we must guard our heart and our thoughts. I cannot change my past or what I have done or said to people in my life but if I have hurt or offended anyone I take this time now to truly say I am sorry in every way. So be a peacemaker today. It pleases God to know end.
Matthew 5:9
