And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith.”
Matthew 21:22
Through prayer, I am blessed. I am blessed with the assurance in knowing that Jesus is mine and near to me. I am secure in my faith and in His love for me. His Word reminds me of His love and He shares His thoughts with me on what He thinks of various topics of life. I can seek His Word for the world today and its current events and current state of affairs and the Bible is all knowing and all truth. God's Word does not contradict nor compromise itself. And neither should we. There are biblical truths, biblical beliefs that align as biblical "doctrine" therefore we cannot play two sides of the fence. No middle ground; no room for compromising. If you struggle with the same sex marriage law, abortion, adultery, divorce, guilt, sin etc...seek the Lord and ask Him how He views it. Matthew 7:7 says to ask, seek, and knock and He will answer. Go to the throne for it all. He is there for you with open arms. He desires His will for our lives. He wants to bless you and I with a life of abundance....abundance of love, joy, peace, grace.....allow His love for you to penetrate your heart and manifest your life so you in turn can show that love to another. We are images of Christ (Romans 8:29) and we are representatives of Christ therefore we must act as such, speak as such, think as such and be as such. We can achieve all this through prayer which is our commune time with Him. Alone, quiet, without noise or distractions. I pray myself to sleep on many a nights. Talking with Him soothes me and comforts me. I know He is near. He wants that for all His children, not just some. There is no favoritism in the Kingdom of God...He loves us all. (Romans 2:11) Make time for Him...He is waiting to hear from you.
Philippians 4:6-7 do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
