The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. Psalm 23:1. When a person truly gives their heart to Christ, they surrender their will to His. Salvation comes with full submission, which means the Lord is in control and we are led by Him, not by our own flesh. We move by the Spirit that dwells within us. Faith is believing in something we cannot see and trusting our Almighty Father no matter what. When you walk in His will through obedience, you will experience favor in your life, peace in your soul and joy in your heart. You will feel complete and whole. I love the first verse of this Psalm because it summarizes what a true believer's heart is. Whatever God wants for your life is the best for your life. You know we scheme and plan and map out a whole course of action for our lives without even seeking His counsel then we wonder why we hit so many bumps. The Lord's plan is effortless. Let that be your guide. If something is meant to be, it will be. How many times have you tried to do something and all you faced were obstacles? Did you then see how it was never meant to be? That is because God was blocking it. However the opposite is so true when it is His will...all pieces fall together in perfect established order. What I simply need to say is keep your faith with God simple and pure. Innocent and uncomplicated. Your relationship with Him should be the most important thing to you and when that is in order, all else will follow in its proper place. To know He has it in His hands is so comforting to me. What the heck do I want or need to be involved for? He tells me when to move so that is good enough for me and I want that to be good enough for you. So trust in the Lord today with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding, just like the Good Book tells us in Proverbs 3:5. And lastly, enjoy this wonderful victorious holiday weekend with those you love and always remember to keep God center.
